The AEC (architecture, engineering, and construction) market is set to receive support from a market leader in adaptive enterprise file services.

Egnyte,, Mountain View, Calif., powers enterprise-file services for construction firms all around the world. The firm is bringing new feature sets and third-party party integrations to AEC in order to extend value for project managers and IT (information technology) decision makers. Third-party integrations provide optimized workflows with blueprint markups, annotations, image management, and other industry requirements.

AEC customers looking to manage all aspects of a project can benefit from Egnyte’s open hybrid architecture. Customers are able to overview AEC-focused apps, as well as anything from project bidding to completion through secure file sharing from third-party integrations. The solutions give companies the capability to go paperless and save money when collaborating with large files like blueprints, CAD (computer-aided design) drawings, and images.

It is not scalable for IT to administrate each product within global construction firms, and one of Egnyte’s solutions provides project managers role-based admin rights to ease this process. With admin rights, project managers gain access to delegate projects, add or remove employees and contractors depending on the project’s status, and perform similar actions for the duration of the project. AEC teams are also able to use an advanced templating feature with Egnyte, which permits further role-based admin. Teams do not have to recreate an entire folder hierarchy of files for each building project with this feature.

Egnyte addresses growing use of construction-focused solutions and mobile apps by joining with some of the best-in-class construction partners. Altogether, Egnyte and its partners can reduce paper and enable instant sharing of project photos, blueprints, and PDF files to better enable construction management.
