Technology provider of aerial imagery, data analytics, and GIS (geographic information systems) solutions EagleView Technology Corp.,, Bothell, Wash., announced it has entered into an agreement to be acquired by Vista Equity Partners,, a private equity firm with offices in Austin, Texas, Chicago, and San Francisco.

EagleView serves the insurance, construction, solar, government, and public utility sectors, delivering aerial imagery, using a vast image library and patented 3D measurement software. Vista is a private equity firm with more than $14 billion in cumulative capital commitments, focused on investments in software, data, and technology-enabled companies.

Chris Barrow, president and CEO, EagleView says Vista’s investment and professional support provides it with a significant opportunity to continue delivering exceptional products to its more than 40,000 customers as it accelerates growth into new, emerging markets.

According to the announcement, under Vista’s ownership, EagleView will enter a new phase of growth that will leverage EagleView’s proprietary dataset and analytics to create new product offerings and address underpenetrated verticals.
