Applications to Improve Quality and Response
Skanska, www.skanska.co.uk, Stockholm, Sweden, is involved in some of the United Kingdom’s most prestigious construction and infrastructure projects, in both the private and public sectors. Associated with such major projects as London’s Gherkin office building and the Crossrail railway line, the contractor is building, upgrading, and maintaining the infrastructure in the country.
To improve quality and response time for infrastructure clients, announces IFS, www.ifsworld.com, Teknikringen, Linköpin, Sweden, the contractor will implement IFS Applications 9 into the Infrastructure Services division of its UK operations. According to the global enterprise applications company, the software will provide Skanska with an advanced system to manage its infrastructure contracts by encompassing work order planning, scheduling, and execution—as well as purchasing, inventory, time and attendance, and mobile work orders in one centralized system.
According to the solutions provider, IFS Applications 9 was selected as not only does it meet Skanska’s current needs, but it is agile enough to adapt to changing requirements, laying the foundation for a long-term strategic relationship. The project is scheduled to go live in the second quarter of 2016, with subsequent roll outs planned to follow.
