Small to mid-size contracts can get easy access to private construction data on iOS devices. How is that possible? CMD,, Norcross, Ga., a provider of construction information in North America, has just the solution.

CMD releases BidCity, a mobile app that delivers bid information about new, private projects. The construction app allows general contractors and subcontractors visibility to actionable projects and company details complete with scope, bidder and participant contact information, address, project name, just to a name a few.

According to CMD, the app is ideal for the “always on the go” contractor seeking to locate local construction projects within 25-30 miles of the contractor’s business. Upon opening BidCity, a contractor can view details about projects in their immediate vicinity and search by key categories, which includes retail, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, and projects. Other key features include the ability to easily pinpoint projects with map-based layout, filter search results by construction stage from bid to post-bid, save searches for simple access, and access favorite projects using the ‘track projects’ feature.

“With CMDs incredibly in-depth private information, BidCity offers a competitive advantage to any contractor that uses it,” says Claire Stubblefield, senior product manager, CMD.

BidCity is compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch and is available for free download in the Apple iTunes store. Access to bid data is $9.99 per month.
