Bosch Ups Tool Performance
Construction professionals need tools that can run longer—and as such manufacturers are coming to market with new batteries to keep tools running longer.
As one example, Bosch, www.boschtools.com, is working to ensure that its tools can keep up with the nonstop nature of the jobsite. To do this, it will be offering the new Bosch CORE18V Battery to keep tools running longer and efficiently.
The new battery is 24% lighter and 35% smaller, and uses advanced Lithium-ion technology, resulting in an 80% increase in power when compared to previous Bosch batteries. The 10 high density cells within the battery are laser-welded and rail-connected and come with an improved power connector, which offers a lower internal resistance, producing more sustainable currents in a longer period of time.
In addition, Bosch has designed the housing of the CORE18V to be just as strong, as the CoolPack 2.0 System can transfer more heat to the surface, producing a 35% better cooling effect and enabling the battery to live a 135% longer live than other batteries. It also works with reduced resistance to prevent concerns of overheating during long work days and high-load applications.
The Bosch CORE18V is compatible with all 18-volt Bosch Lithium-ion tools and chargers, and it is anticipated that Bosch will further integrate CORE technology in upcoming models of its high power tools.
