Collaboration Drives SaaS
The cloud has been a boon to document management. Case in point: ProjectReady, www.project-ready.com, Yonkers, N.Y., a cloud collaboration and document management provider released its SaaS (software-as-a-service) subscription model for the AEC (architecture, engineering, and construction) industry.
This platform enables organizations worldwide to collaborate across the lifecycle of documents and projects from planning to delivery and operations. The platform is completely accessible via desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile devices, across a worldwide basis, 24 hours a day.
In alignment with the product release, the company also announced a new Website to better align brand and communications strategy across the solution.
According to ProjectReady Founder and CEO Joe Giegerich, the company recognized the need for ProjectReady, in terms of providing the freedom and power to access the information organizations require without IT involvement. The goal is to allow organizations to efficiently and easily manage entire project portfolios, while controlling documents, automating process, and maintaining security and governance in the cloud.
ProjectReady benefits include the fact that the self-service nature of ProjectReady sites allows end users to create and manage permissions to Project Sites without having to call IT—and even grants access to external users for collaboration and works with the Microsoft SharePoint permissions screens.
Rich pre-configured reporting provides realtime analysis of project deliverables, document, and delivery status and associated projects tasks. Finally, workflows designed for industry best practices are programmatically delivered across all projects.
