Construction Software in the Cloud
The cloud is making integration among multiple software products seamless for contractors. One example comes from Corecon Technologies, www.corecon.com, Huntington Beach, Calif., which is making its Corecon V7 construction software suite easier to use and easier to integrate with other vendor products.
General contractors, subcontractors, homebuilders, developers, and engineering firms use Corecon’s estimating, project management, and job cost software in conjunction with accounting packages like QuickBooks Desktop or Online, Sage 50 Canada, SAP Business One, and Xero.
With the new release, integration with these packages through their CoreconLink has been simplified by identifying all updates automatically and providing the ability to sync records with a full audit trail of changes made. Before this release, users had to export customer, vendor, project, and billing information manually and separately.
Additionally, the new release includes enhancements to its user interface to provides improved usability and a unified interface with the construction elements and accounting capabilities in one place.
Corecon V7 is the company’s primary product, and provides cloud-based availability that can be accessed on multiple devices, including laptop/PC, tablets, or smartphones. The software includes business development, estimating, document control, contract administration, job cost control, scheduling, and collaboration functionality, with integration to third-party accounting products.
