Construction enterprises are expected to benefit from a partnership initiative to yield time and money savings—and increase accuracy and completeness of specifications—following finalization of a joint development agreement to develop a product offering to launch at the AIA 2015 conference in Atlanta.

ARCOM,, Charleston, S.C., which publishes MasterSpec for the AIA (American Institute of Architects),, Washington, D.C., and GreenWizard,, Mt. Pleasant, S.C., a building product management solution and construction industry market provider of materials data and documentation, have taken the next step in their partnership to bring a new integrated product selection to specs.

The partnership and development agreement are the first steps in introducing a tool that integrates GreenWizard’s Building Product Management Solution with ARCOM’s Technology Offerings based on MasterSpec, a tool for use by architects, engineers, landscape architects, spec writers, and design professionals involved in building projects.

The innovation is expected to dramatically alter the way industry professionals search, evaluate, and specify products for all project needs across the construction space. With the ARCOM integration, designers and specifiers who use GreenWizard to identify, evaluate, and select materials will now be able to dynamically specify products into project specifications.

Building product manufacturers are expected to benefit from the integration by being specified with complete and comprehensive product data and documentation originating from their GreenWizard listing, as well as by obtaining information and metrics for better management of project opportunities.
