The first, called Trimble Horizon, is a new cloud platform for field service management. As the core platform for its FSM (Field Service Management) suite of solutions and services, Trimble Horizon supports the following capabilities: work management, fleet management, and driver safety; mobility including mobile applications and tools for better empowerment, data sharing, and collaboration in the field; Web services to enable seamless integration; and business intelligence and analytics tools.

Trimble Horizon provides customers an extensible, flexible platform, allowing them to depend on Trimble as a single provider for all their field service needs. Trimble Horizon’s cloud and modular features enable organizations to drive an agile, dynamic field service operation.

As another new example, Trimble’s GCEstimator Software Suite speeds the process of creating estimates for complex, deadline-intensive construction projects. GCEstimator incorporates best-of-breed software from Trimble Buildings’ portfolio of design-build-operate technologies, which enable general contractors and construction managers to increase efficiencies, win more work, and maximize the profitability of projects before, during, and after construction.

GCEstimator combines software capabilities from Trimble’s acquisitions of WinEstimator Inc. and Vico Software Inc. into a comprehensive, fully integrated solution. This solution employs Trimble WinEst database-driven software, Trimble Vico Office virtual construction software, and Trimble Document Controller Standard to automate change detection between design iterations in both 2D design drawing sets and in 3D models created using BIM (building information modeling) software.
