The W-244 CNC Controlled Pipe Cutting Machine from Watts Specialties Inc., www.watts-specialties.com, Puyallup, Wash., with a computer-controlled hydraulic lift deck, conveyer with floating pipe clamp, and tracking torch head with full 3D range of motion produces beveled holes and end cuts automatically compensates for bent or out-of-round pipe.
The system is controlled using PypeServer software for at-machine or remote pipe cuts and job control. Beyond designing and controlling the job, the software provides job estimating, scheduling, and inventory management. M. Davis invested in the new technology with expectations of transforming its operations through improved efficiency.
