To leverage technology and provide an easy-to-use interface that can be used in the field or in the office, and which integrates with its Jonas system, Jonas Construction Software,, Markham, Ont., a division of Constellation Software,, Toronto, Ont., announces two new mobile applications currently in development.

The eReporting mobile application provides the ability to generate reports directly from the field, leveraging the information found in Jonas’ full ERP (enterprise resource planning) database including documents stored in the Digio document-management system.

The app, explains the company, allows reports to be created with ease, offers drill-down capabilities to specific documents and/or other key information, and provides the ability to display information in numerous graphical formats.

The mobile scanner application is designed for end-users to be able to use modern scanning techniques to scan inventory items in the warehouse or in the field. The application will be used in conjunction with the Jonas ERP system to build lists of items for charging to jobs and work orders, receiving and transferring inventory, as well as inventory count purposes.

According to the provider of business management and accounting software, these mobile apps – building on a tested ERP system such as Jonas Enterprise – will revolutionize the way business is performed in the construction industry through using new technological advancements.

Initially, the Scanner app will be available on Android devices in the Google Play Store and eventually in the Apple App Store as well. The Jonas eReporting app will be available in both app stores as well as being able to run in Microsoft Windows.
