Toshiba’s Digital Products Division, a division of Toshiba America Information Systems Inc.,, Irvine, Calif., has refreshed its Satellite S Series of performance laptops.

The series features slim styling, premium design, includes two screen size options—15.6-inch or 17.3-inch—and comes configured with the latest, high-performance processors and technologies for mobile performance. Built to take advantage of the key features of Windows 10, Satellite S series laptops deliver a robust experience, while proving to be an ideal choice for new capabilities.

The company says the laptops are also a platform for productivity. Built with Windows 10 in mind, the Satellite S Series offers Toshiba’s TruTalk dual-array microphones that enable voice apps like Cortana and Skype, plus a dedicated Cortana key for access to Microsoft’s personal digital assistant.

The laptops also include the latest generation 802.11ac Wi-Fi, delivering faster performance for demanding, high-bandwidth activities like streaming HD videos and transferring high-resolution photos plus the convenience of Bluetooth for connecting Bluetooth-enabled phones, printers, and speakers.

The Satellite S Series features a solid, yet lightweight metal construction of sculpted aluminum in an enclosure that measures under one-inch thick and weighs less than five pounds, resulting in a highly portable and durable device. The laptops include a modern buttonless touchpad with multi-gesture control and a frameless TruType keyboard with LED-backlit contoured keys designed for comfortable typing with less key bounce.

For an industry such as construction, this laptop provides the ability to transfer high-res photos and improve jobsite productivity, all with a portable device.
