Viewpoint Construction Software,, Portland, Ore., a provider of construction-specific software solutions to the global construction and capital project industries, has acquired Sydney-based Jobpac, a provider of construction software solutions to the ANZ (Australian and New Zealand) construction industry for more than 25 years.

The acquisition offers current Jobpac customers expanded product options including Viewpoint For Project Collaboration and Viewpoint’s mobile defect management solution, Field View.

Viewpoint will maintain its Melbourne facility but relocate its ANZ headquarters to the Jobpac offices in Sydney. The combined organization will be led by former Jobpac CEO, Ian Desbrow, who will now become Viewpoint’s managing director in ANZ. Jobpac and Viewpoint customers will be supported by a larger and more extensive local staff of application and technical support resources.

Viewpoint explains that it intends to combine the expertise of the two organizations to broaden and improve its entire product portfolio for the Australia/New Zealand market. The combination of Viewpoint and Jobpac provides technical and application support, professional services, and consulting resources for ANZ contractors and capital projects stakeholders.

Viewpoint solutions address preconstruction to construction and facilities maintenance needs, and are offered on a variety of platforms, including cloud, mobile, SaaS (software-as-a-service), and on premises.
